First one - March 24

Let’s start the week off with something for Sherman fans, Asuka (formerly known as Tasca), has shown signs they are on their way back after a little hiatus.  The company has become famous among modelers due to the excellent quality of their Sherman tank kits announced a JGDSF Sherman “Easy Eight”.  This is basically the Asuka M4A3E8 Sherman kit with new markings.  Let’s hope this is a sign of new things to come from Asuka.
Asuka Models are distributed through Pacific Coast Models, and can be found on most hobby store shelves.

From Dragon's March release is another variant of the Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.D.  While there is a lot of complaints on what some claim are the same tanks time after time, each one has differences, with some subtle.  But this does allow for the builder to get the exact variant they want.  And having built a few of the Panzer IV's, I must say the Dragon Panzer's, especially the III's and IV's,  are probably the best on the market to build into great looking models.
This release is a bit of an odd variant the Ausf.D,  instead of the short 7.5cm, this variant had the 5cm L/60 gun.  This was done as a test as during the battle for France the German had issues penetrating the British Matilda tanks.  Allow an original order of 80 tanks was place, the order was cancelled before production could begin.

Dragon Models are distributed through Dragon USA Online, but can also found on the shelves of most local hobby stores
